C30 1.6d engine shutdown when fast accelerating

Post by Volvisti »

Hi,
i have following issue with my c30:
- when i drive without full throttle, car is working.
- but when i put the pedal to the floor, at around 3000rpm i hear a bang (not extremely loud though) and the engine seems not to run on itself anymore. everything is on, like dash etc, but nothing happens when accelerator pedal position changes
- the rpm is still there due to moving car, but as soon as i press the clutch pedal, rpm goes to 0, until i get off the clutch and the rpm goes up again, but still no acceleration.
- when pressing clutch and put the key to 0 and back to 2 (not using the starter) and releasing the clutch the engine runs as nothing happens.

Have experienced this a few times now, and have no idea where to look, no error messages stored.
anyone experienced this or might have a clue, what this weird behavior causes?
thanks!
V
