I checked the "trusted aftermarket post", very useful!
There was one fuel pump relay vendor (to avoid) I didn't recognize.
Also a search of the MVS site doesn't turn up info. I seem to recall somebody resoldered one that had failed, that post didn't turn up.
So, Volvo only? At $100 phew!

I bought some once labelled Febi, turned out fine. Haven't seen any lately.

I got the 93 started with a known-to-be-good relay from my daily driver and it ran just fine—for about 100 yards and then died. Crank, crank, crank not even a meek little pop.
HOWEVER, the check engine light was now on, which it hadn't been when the relay flatlined, so that meant there was a possible clue in the code blinker box.
Which there was—camshaft position sensor, 2 codes. I happened to have a spare Bosch in inventory, finessed it in and voila! It seems okay now. Starts like it used to when the first plug fires.

Sometimes it takes a while for it to tell on itself. Glad you didn't have to dig any deeper.
I carry the jumper wire setup in each car; the new spare relay is in the ready position on the shelf.
