S80 rear license plate cap nuts

Does anyone know what size and thread type the cap nuts are that are on the rear license plate frame? There are 4 of them. The car I have bought to replace my S80 that got totaled does not have any.

contact www.TheVolvoPartsClub.com they have all the Volvo parts you will need i just ordered a bracket that came with the same nuts you are looking for ask them i am sure they will have em , leave me a message if you get them from them a free volvo site I like it alot. .... Billy

These are called "acorn" nuts and are cheap enough at the dealer...if you don't want to hassle with getting them sent (and paying for postage) from an online source.

When we got the new S80 home, I was going through the trunk and the factory front license plate frame was under the spare tire. It had the acron nuts on it that I needed! The front frame had never been installed.

The factory "acorn" nuts are just painted steel and mine rusted and stained the plate. I replaced all of them with stainless ones for ~$6. I got them at Lowes in the bolt drawer. I seem to think that they are 6mm?? Bring one with you and match it to a bolt.
