S60 2.4T LPT - Turbo Upgrade?

Post by nebletic »

Hi there, I just wanted to gather some thoughts/opinions about this.

I have a 2002 S60 2.4T with a 5-Speed Geartronic. After installing a BSR 200-cell 3"-Downpipe, I am looking into further possible Upgrades.

I already know/plan on upgrading the injectors to the green ones.

According to some Forums, the following are my options:
TD04HL-19T
TD04HL-16T (2000 V70R?)
TD04HL-22T

I'm honestly not looking for anything extreme, but a power figure starting with 3XX would be nice to have, not a must.

Any advice on this topic? :)

Best Regards

Are you ok with giving up some low end torque for higher end HP?
Since, I assume, you’re planning to do a tune as well, it would be a good idea to approach it from that perspective. What is available? Is your tuner experienced with a particular setup or turbocharger? Let that guide your hardware selection.
IMO, 300 HP is about the limit for the stock bottom end.

Kind of sick of low end torque on my other vehicles, so yeah, why not.
Of course a tune would also be in the play here, but I would rather trust Hilton to do that for me, instead of my local tuner, he's more experienced on the germans.

You must first shim the block. At 300hp the bottom may hold, but the cylinders will not.
