I have the footrest, it's just not cleaned yet :)
Hey - I looked at your printables and that’s really neat. I’d love to get the light clip and bushing tool (wish I’d had them in the past!). I know nothing about 3d printing (well, only the very basics - made one simple thing in a class once). I want to make a replacement actuator for the rear hatch lock on 99/00 wagons. I know what the issue is and how to fix it; just need to learn how to model the part and print. Would save a lot of people spending $250 on replacement locks!
Is this the lock you posted about in the other thread? The small black plastic piece?
It is probably something you'd have to get 3D printed by a commercial service to be strong enough. Another possibility is metal 3D printing, which has become quite affordable lately.

Holy mackerel Crasbe. I was trying to figure out exactly what I was looking at and then clicked the link. That’s some project you’ve got going there. Best of luck and have fun with that.

Coincidentally just bought the kick panel repair piece and some lock button bezels off your Etsy site yesterday. Then it’s back to pecking away at the bigger issues.

Thank you :)

I only designed the kick panel repair patch, but I don't make and sell them. That credit for that goes to VPrints :)

That is a truly amazing project! I hope we get to hear more on the progress.

Even more dramatic on my original XC. This car looked just as good 18 months after the photo when rear-ended and totaled (I loved that car, still disappointed and haven’t found one as nice again in years).

Wow, what a difference it makes on the overall look of the car. I actually get more excited seeing well-kept looking older cars than I do seeing a Ferrari or a Maclaren. I saw a mint-condition 90s Dodge Caravan the other day and was surprised at how shiny the paint still was, considering that most of them have already rusted halfway up the doors. Makes me want to get my car re-sprayed, but it would cost more than buying a fleet of P80s.

Hopefully I'll be buzzing around the streets soon :)
(More info on OpenInverter: click)

I'm sorry, WHAT?! I must see more! I've always wanted to do an electric conversion on my parts car. We are going to need a thorough write up sir!
I will publish the measurements of the B5252FS on MVS soon, it might be interesting for people doing engine swaps (but why would you want to remove a Volvo engine anyways? :D ). I was not able to find any dimensions of the bellhousing bolt pattern etc.

I just read through your link. Very interesting stuff. I think the most interesting part so far is the PCB your putting together. Reusing the volvo computer connection terminal is kind of genius as you dont have to rewire the whole car. I can't wait to see how it all functions. I'll have to download all that info and save for a future project.

When you get the project up and running we are going to have to start an electric conversion sticky thread. I'm just sayin.

Another notable project is from "Mean Old Man" on YouTube:

The first videos are a bit rough, but it's a really interesting project too.
