Good evening,
I purchased an 08 V70 3.2 as a project car to fix up for my wife. I bought the car knowing that the immobilizer was tripped. Since, I purchased a VXDIAG unit to use to connect the car to my laptop (cheaper and more readily available in my area vs a dice clone). I loaded up VDASH to begin the decoding process, and I noticed that VDASH stated that the ECM was not present.
Due to this, I found the ECU, dusted the pins with some computer duster, and reseated the connection. Now, I am getting more information/status alerts on the DIM than before. However, VDASH still states that the ECM is not present. I did some research and found some forum posts of people complaining of similar issues (tripped immobilizer leading to no ECM signal). Is the issue I am experiencing just due to a tripped immobilizer or something more major? I have attached a screenshot of the DCT's I get from VDASH.
Please let me know if I can clarify anything or if there are any questions. I am more than willing to learn how to fix this myself so if you have any good resources please send them my way!
Thanks in advance,
HankBurger
