Low beams both burn out at the same time? - 02 XC70 - Update Topic is solved

Exactly what it feels like! Explains why he said it was easy to get into the low beam when I struggles for access.

We may figure out it was as we thought it was, but we have to check the bulbs for sure first!

I have a few random H7 headlight bulbs in the garage so we can try one of those. The harder part is that the plastic headlight bulb wire holders are missing on one side for sure. I pulled 2 from junkyard and noticed last night they are different ends!?

Oh, well, hopefully one will be the correct one. Access to the RH low beam is improved by removing the windshield washer bottle fill pipe and the cover for the ECU/TCU box. Not so easy on the LHS.

And the answer was...............??

BOTH headlight bulbs were blown? How can they both fail at the same time? Fitted a spare set I have kicking about and now we have dip beams again.
