Hello, I have an issue when trying to install Vida. I've been trying many times now, also reinstalling windows but everytime SQL Server 2008 gets stuck while at: "SqlEngineDBStartConfigAction_install_configrc_Cpu32", can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone,
I was able to access, view the tabs with the diagnostic options, manually configure the vehicle data, but I can't get the Mongoose to communicate with Vida. Does anyone know if I can get a hardware model compatible with Windows 10? After I bought it, I looked and found that the Mongoose cable is only compatible with Windows 7 32-bit with at least 3GB of RAM.

Thank you for helping us out. And also thanks to the users that posted their issues because that was how I was able to figure out what the problem was.

I kept running into "Vida not Ok" and that was because for some reason my laptop wouldnt allow the SQL to communicate with the Vida installation. The solution is to install windows 10. I reset the whole system and did a fresh install.

The issue that i am running into now is that my Clone Dice will not connect to Vida. the box says "not selected". I updated the vida drivers on how you instructed , and still nothing. I am running edge with IE Tab. I also downloaded VX manager and it still doesnt connect. Only one green light is lit on the DICE, the firmware light.

Do these Chinese clones work with this system or do they have to be manually installed on an old laptop with Windows 7 pro. Is there a way around it? on device manager it shows up as "Unknown device"

Hi everyone,
I've been able to install Vida thanks to the awesome guide in the 1st post of this thread and I must say that it worked straight away on my 18 years old Dell laptop that was catching dust in my closet.

Anyway, everything seems to work fine, but I can't search for spare parts, I mean, if I search for a code there are no results, same if I search for a description (e.g. "oil filter"). Any suggestion?

Another question, will the J2534 Mongoose cable work or I will need a DICE clone?

Any J2534 should work.

The Vida install will install the DiCE drivers that work with most clones. Check the disk that came with it ... does it contain some other driver ... some are not true "clones' they just look like one.
