15 HP for the red one! BMW makes one with red and blue that adds 30 HP but it’s 1000 Euro.

For that amount of money I’d rather book a flight to Thailand and get pegged
I’m done buying expensive cars and even more expensive upkeep

Ingrid the S70 left my friend and I stranded after we visited the New England Air Museum in Windsor CT a couple of days ago. But AAA was fairly quick to respond. So today I confirmed no fuel pressure and ordered a Walbro repair kit.

Today I had some time left, which gave me the opportunity to fix some more things.
Replaced the passenger side damper motor for a used one. I’m going to keep the old one and try and fix it when I have more time.
Furthermore, I’ve checked the compression. Seems to be quite ok for an engine with 450k km’s.
To be honest, I should’ve checked this when I just got the car. But the car was running smooth, but still losing coolant after swapping out the faulty heater core.
So I kept postponing the compression test, in case it was real bad news.
I still have to do a leak down test, alas, that’s for another time.
Also, at the pick’n pull where I got the damper motor, I miraculously found ONE used remote amongst a mountain of keys.
It got a new battery and I retrieved the vgla pin to add the ‘new’ remote to the car.
When it was confirmed that it worked, I cleaned up the sticky shell. The pnp stuck a label around the remote.
