I agree that 135k is not much for an P2 xc70. Mine is 309k and is staying true to the saying that " volvo will last as long as you will keep throwing money at them". Every 100k you get with this car it will present you with a lot of opportunities to drain your wallet. For 74y.o person who is probably on fixed budget...I would never be tired to say, that unless you absolutely love those cars and you have a spare car and enough of spare cash to throw at them- sure keep enjoying them, but if you are in fixed budget- lease whatever car you like and let someone else worry about repairs. No matter which side you look at it- it is 20y.o car with all the wear and tear.jonesg wrote: ↑28 Jul 2025, 22:06 135K miles is nothing.
Mine is at 240K and rides fine, I'm 74 too, I adjust my driving style to match.
Initially I bought subframe bushings because I read they're needed at a certain mileage, 8 years later they're still in the box.
I would have a shop put it on a lift and diagnose it before throwing parts.
I will keep my car...now, suspension questions.

Maybe I'm lucky as the V70 hasn't cost me much in parts but I have spent well over $12K in the garage between tools, new concrete floor and a 2 post lift the past 5 years. I like working on mechanical stuff, I have outboards, motorbike, snowmobile, rebuilt them all.Vova585 wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025, 20:13I agree that 135k is not much for an P2 xc70.
