Thankyou VTL for replying, in regards to my post on my CCM, is it possible that the firmware/software of my CCM has become corrupted causing other modules to turn on/off randomly until i unplug the CCM. I spoke to the manager at my local Volvo dealership and he said that module could just need a re-load. Xemodex no longer do Volvo CCM but said that CEM units can in rare cases loose Firmware/forget key permissions etc..that sounds scary...How does a module forget its software?

2. After a extensive internet search i have sourced a CCM with matching part number/date/and half of third line matching (see pic) Volvo dealer said this is my best chance, its only the replacement unit doesnt not have heated seats, and the recycle switch is different ,what are the chances i can retain all functions??...Is it at all possible my new Chinese Android head unit (Can-bus) module has done something?? thanks in advance Daryl

When software needs to store something permanently, it needs to write it to EEPROM or FLASH. Write is: "erase old, write new". The unit of data operation is usually a "line" or "block", i.e. some amount of bytes, like 16 or 256. What software does is reading this line/block, modifying what needs to be modified in it, then erases line/block in chip and writes the updated line/block. If power goes out when data was erased but not fully written yet then the content of the chip is corrupted.

Ask for help in this thread, quite a few people reading it who can help to reflash your donor CCM remotely: viewtopic.php?p=671113
