Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Isn't 28 psi at idle low? My odb2 Bluetooth unit with torque app on my Android phone reports 43 psi at idle. I borrowed a pressure gauge from an auto parts store and saw the same, one time. I had thought the pressure should be higher but this seems normal for my 06 s60 2.5T.
Also, I've never seen oil bubbles on my dipstick.

At 185k it’s likely the VVT has worn out, causing that code. The car will run fine with a warn VVT as long as you can get it through inspection
