Well, that explains why the rear wiper stopped last week. Impressive failure mode, we’ll see if jb weld can save the day.

Yeah jb weld is a long shot ha, found a motor for $20 on eBay last night and ordered. Always worth a shot though we’ll see if jb lasts longer than one wipe

Given pattern of failure, it is possible that issue occurred due to "sticking" of the shaft that goes through the body of the motor case towards wiper arm. Since I never had 850, I do not know if the shaft from the motor has to go through any brass type tube that can possibly develop corrosion and as a result interfere with movement. I would suggest to bench test your replacement unit prior to instalation. Ideally disassemble and clean/lubricate moving parts.

The answer is yes, the shaft does corrode and stick, just like the fronts can do too.
