Looks like it's forged as one piece. I see the curved type in the US, too, but multiple pieces so they look less... anatomical.

The other day, I started the 850 for the first time in a few weeks. I've had the charger on the battery. I simply backed it away from the garage door, so I could have some room to work in the garage. I bought a used work bench (finally) and had to make room for it, and then get it set in place. It's already getting used, but just for sorting at the moment. I've renewed my efforts to clean/organize my garage and make it more usable.

Here's a question, I thought of while sorting last night. I ran across the factory Volvo wiper from my 99 S70, with the wing/air-foil. Has anyone successfully moved the wing to a new wiper, or found a rubber re-fill for the original frame? I'd like to put it on my 850.

Swap the whole arm over. 850 arms are not the greatest.

I have read of the swap being done, but have not done this myself. Only thing to watch is that it clears the hood when you open it.

The wing is mounted to the blade frame. It doesn't involve the arm at all.

Oh and the window strip is not OEM. I removed it and after derusting and painting I filled it with black Sikaflex. Which I then put a glue on strip over.

While I was at it I also removed and repainted the wiper warm, it's a bit of a hack job but an improvement IMO.

Then I've used my extractor and washed all the carpets and seats.

I have to redo the upper and lower strips on my 1999 v70 Elizabeth.

I didn't make a thread for that, that I can recall.

What I did was clean the old strip out and de-rust the area. Then I filled it with sikaflex. That alone will suffice:

I would have left it without a cover strip if the sikaflex hadn't developed bubbles. I believe I got water on them before it cured.

Today I took some time to wire up a new switch that isn't part of the standard equipment in german cars back then: the lock switch. Currently, if you want to lock the car while driving, you have to press the door latch. That's about to change—a nice touch, if you ask me.

Does anyone remember who wrote up the thread on clearing the Pcv block hole with stiff Tygon tubing to remove the junk with multiple applications? Asking for our fellow OR sufferer of p80 XC torture
