No harm trying! You can also add the front stiffening bars from a C70 that bolt to the front subframe bolts and also further back where the AWD has a crossmember under the prop-shaft to support the center bearing.

The also have a 2nd one that fits inside the front sub-frame, but some modification is needed to add that.

Can you remember the part nr or have a picture of the crossmember on the back? I can’t find it on the parts diagram.

Thats just the AWD center bearing support and muffler hanger. It does add rigidity to the frame tunnel, too.

Slow (3 month) leak on Elizabeth AC

Sniffed and found leak signal on both condensor ports, and also intermittant signal on condensor surface near some rock damage.

New Nissens is $115 from FCP - ordered.

To install it, you'll need two longer subframe bolts, which are TTY. Just order the ones for a C70 instead of a V70.

Hopefully you saved the other 4 bolts that are also longer, but they are not TTY, so easier to find.

I've repaired the roof liner... I've found the module that works with the motor, and have to way a week to make the switch with the bad one...

I got the glass out, brushed all the rust, treated it with an anti rust product, rebuilt with a thin cord of silicone. Everything got some new silicone grease (advice given by abscate in a time). The opening mid-position works fine without any annoying "before" noise.

Bought another 00 s70, this may be getting out of hand. Was a blue one that actually seemed to be in pretty fair condition for 644 k km. Old guy was a hoot, and the glove test didnt really inflate, but was not sucked in. Tempted to do an RN engine swap on the cheap to see how well it will go. Would likely swap in this engine. Rack is perfect on it, brakes are good, radiator good, power steering good, and the steering u joint is good. Has the OEM catalytic converter which was surprising. The exhaust system looks pretty good and dare i say recoverable for my 98 na.

Shifted smooth, so that transmission will likely be up for grabs for whomever wants to pick it up eventually. I trust this car pretty well for it being a 2 owner, and the last owner being very attached to it.

She has some exterior rust, but she drives under her own power well, and made me nostalgic for my 98 v70.
