I used her last week and as I was coming home she died in the driveway. It stumbled once while trying to start it but then nothing but cranking. I did notice the dash lights didn't light up when I tried to start it. I didn't hear the fuel pumps energize. The fuses look good.
Any ideas? I'm sure it's something simple. She pays for herself every time I take her out.
Thanks in advance,
kevin

The only thing that comes to mind is a faulty ignition switch. Try wiggling (great word) the key as you turn it to see if the lights come on.

Hi Guys,
An update...got it back from the mechanic's shop. Too busy to pick it up this past weekend. Anyway, one hour labor, and the air cond blower fuse(don't have a/c) and front wiper/washer fuse was the problem for the lack of juice to the ignition. All the dash lights light up and I can hear the fuel pump relays, etc upon turning key to position 2.
Does this sound like a plausible problem for the stall/dying?
Thanks

It is not what I would have thought.
The two blown fuses, #2 (wipers and horns) & #3 (heater blower) are fed from the ignition switch. They would only cause failures in the units they cover. Obviously something caused them to blow and also caused the stall, the loss of dash lights and fuel pumps. I am still inclined to a faulty ignition switch or, possibly, bad wiring from the switch.

Bill,
That was my first intuition and common sense...they're for the items they're inline for. Unless previous owner(s) jury rigged it somehow.
When I dropped it off on the mechanic's lot I wiggled the ignition key for about 10 minutes to no avail.
I'm going to give the mechanic a call...he wasn't there when I picked up the car.
