Volvo Radio Light Bulb Replacement
In case some of you haven't figured out how to remove the circuit board from the radio...

There are metal tabs that lock it in place. Use a small plier to bend them straight so they come out. Also remove the two screws on the sides of the LCD screen.
There are four metal tabs:

Also I did confirm that the lamps from Mouser Electronics do work. They are exactly the same and is a direct replacement.
The part number is 560-CNW123 and its less than a dollar (like $0.75 each if I remember).
Also if you lose the blue bulb gels, its also sold at Mouser (mouser.com), the part number is 560-39025A and you will have to trim it slightly to make it fit (too long).
If you're also making a order for these lamps, the indicator lamps for the instrument clusters are part number 560-WWT1EW10 , this part does require some small modification to the pins (just need to press them more 'square' with a plier prior to insertion). Again, its also very cheap here.

Finally got around to going to the Honda dealer and asking for these clock bulbs. They didn't have a clue what I needed. Needless to say, he asked what model car it was for.

ooookay. From the bag the Honda dealer gave me when I asked for some micro-bulbs for a clock...
35505-S84-N01
BULB, NEO-WEDGE (T3)
Sorry you wasted a trip. I usually whine and get stubborn when they claim ignorance. Since I'm way more stubborn than almost anyone, they eventually go back to the bins and bring one out, ask me if that's it, and I say "Yes". They know darned well what a clock micro-bulb is. They're just playing a little Parts Guy game. If you want to play back just say Volvo when they ask what kind of car.

Thanx. I was over by the dealership anyway, so it wasn't really a wasted trip.
I did tell him it was for a Volvo when he asked what car.
I really appreciate you posting the part number. I will make a trip over there again tomorrow.
EDIT - I should have double checked this part number. It is for the radio. I had already swapped out these bulbs.
I was asking for the ones for the switches in the dash and console. My fault for not making myself clearer.
Anyway, I went back to the dealer this morning and the young guy(Matt) told me he had sold someone these bulbs for a Volvo before. It turns out that they are for an Odyssey van. They are the lights for the shift indicators on the dash. The part number is 79672-S3N-N41. They run $4.27 each. I got the last 3 at Rusty Wallace here in Knoxville.

About a third of my car's original switch and radio lights were burned out when I got it, and I've used the 35505-S84-N01 bulbs to replace them all - radio and switch bulbs. Still, it's good to know there's an alternative PN, although it appears to cost about $2 more than a 35505.
I wonder what the difference is. I may go buy one just to see.

I followed this thread with intrest, having lost all the lights on my radio. I have managed to replace all of the bulbs very easily with 12volt 60 ma micro bulbs. having patted myself on the back and turned on the radio expecting lights, how disappointed was I. I'll have to take it apart and check it out, but any ideas from you guys would be helpful. I might try rubbing the contacts on the pcb to see if that helps.
Thanks for the info. I just finished, and it was a piece of cake.
I ended up ordering the bulbs from Mouser. They are P/N: 560-CNW123 and cost $.65 each. If you want the blue bulb covers to fit better, you'll need to trim them a bit when using the Mouser bulbs. I also found there was no reason to disconnect the radio. After sliding the radio out most of the way, I could take the front panel and PCB off easily enough. Then take the PCB in the house to replace the bulbs. Then back to the car, pop it back on, and slide the radio back in.
