wiper pump not working

Understand the washer pump?

There is no relay for this as it does not draw enough current to warrant it.

Can you hear the pump when you activate the switch? If 'Yes' then check the jets to see if they are blocked. If 'No' check to see if you have 12 volts at the pump which sits on top of the reservoir. If you have 12 volts then you probably need a new pump - obtainable at FCPGroton. Sometimes a sharp knock to the pump will kick it into life but this will only be a teporary solution. If no power to the pump check the earth (ground) lead for good connection.

As the wipers are working it is not the fuse because they use the same one.

Of course, the first question should have been, "Is there water in the reservoir?" but you have probably checked that.

yes h2o in res,no sound,will check voltage,tap ,,the other 90 740 has a good pump(no becomming a parts car)Brad
