I'm replacing my busted regulator, and don't want to break my glass in the process. Any suggestions?

how do you attach the window glass to the regulator channel?

Obviously you'll have to take the glass out, or at least take it loose from the window motor (regulator) and prop it up inside the door frame somehow while you change the regulator out. Below, you'll find the instructions on how to deal with all of the windows in your car...just follow the instructions for your particular window, down to the part that has you disconnect the glass from your regulator. I just replaced the rear door glass in my S70 and yours looks to be much simpler.
In your case it looks like there are two screws that actually go through the glass (there's a sleeve to protect the glass)...I would say just undo these after taking out the the run-off profile or bracket. and prop the window up and you probably won't even have to undo weather strip material. Below is a diagram for the run-off profile and how to deal with it:
