1978 Volvo 242 with the B21F and 4 speed Auto...
Sending unit is damaged and needs replaced, other than that, no real mechanical problems.
My Fuel Pump Relay??? I'm guessing, has been getting hot, not sure for how long though, but I noticed it today after I got done driving it, and went to adjust the speedo cable cause the speedo was jumping. Anyways, the relay was hot to the touch, and when I disconnected it, the car shut off. It would crank, but wouldn't turn over, so I think it is the fuel pump...
Anyways, WHY would a relay be getting hot? Could it be a bad ground? or is the relay itself going bad?
Relay gets Hot?
