1st thanks to everyone for all the great info. I recently got a 99 S70 GLT.
The battery keeps discharging to the point of dead. I put an amp meter on
the negative and it shows 0.1-0.2 draw just sitting. If you open the door
so that there is current draw, it jumps to 0.5 - 0.6 leading me to believe
the meter is working.
I did notice that the courtesy light switch has 3 positions which I left it
in the off position. If I keep it in the "door" position, the interior
lights do not go out when the doors are closed and loscked or when you
start the car.
Any words of wisdom?

Check the glove box door...sometimes as these cars age, they don't close well leaving the light on in the glove box.
