Anti-freeze smell S70 99 AWD

OK. I've checked the heater core for leaks on both sides, the piping coming into the core, and the coolant tank/hoses. No leaks anywhere. No fogged up windows. However, I still get the sweet smell of anti-freeze from the air vents, sometimes worse than others. I have to replace maybe an ounce or two every two to three weeks, so it's not very much. Any idea what the cause of the smell is or where it can be coming from?

It's still the heater core. My S70 did this for about 3 months: smell, but no coolant loss or leak--when I had the evaporator replaced I threw a new heater core in it, and *bingo* no more smell after that.

You probably have just an occasional drip- not enough to even dampen the carpet, but enough to smell. One day, it will just give way and flood your floor board. Best to go ahead and do it before the mess and aggravation.
