air box vacuum pipes 850 2.5 auto

does anybody know which way round the two small vacuum hoses on the back of the air box go,i have had mine both ways and cannot find a differance. my car is a 850 auto with o/d.i hope i have done this correctly it is my first time

Thanks for your PM- now I understand that you took the air box off and it had been wedged open (for thermostat) and you've got it fixed now.

The later versions of the N/A cars had a vacuum controlled thermostat. My N/A cars are the old style and the turbo doesn't use the thermostat at all. I've run across this question before and I've never been able to find an answer. VADIS shows even the later models as the wax thermostat type.

It is good to know that even the new style models can be defeated. Somewhere there is a landfill full of flame traps and airbox thermostats that have rightfully just faded away.
