2001 v70xc turbo
I originally posted a few weeks ago I had a CEL and went to
Autozone the codes codes were P1171 and P0303. P1171 is for the MAF sensor and P0303 is a misfire on the #3 cylander.
Pulled the MAF sensor cleaned it with CRC MAF Cleaner, changed all 5 spark plugs, and the coil on the # 3 cylander. I cleared the codes and the car does still had a slight shake. Drove it a while and the CEL came back on. The check showed # 3 was still misfire.
According to the owners manual
Distributor ignition system
Firing order: 1-2-4-5-3
This tells me the #3 is on the right looking at the engine. I checked the coil on the left but no change.
Anyone have any futher advice.
Thanks.

Firing order is as you stated. However, the order from left to right (timing belt side to driver's side) is 1-2-3-4-5. #3 is right in the middle.

With 20 years in the mechanical field I should have realized the firing order from the cylander order. Duh.
I work for the electric company; its amazing the lights ever come on. LOL
I am too happy to be embarrassed right now.
Thank you so much!
