Hi everybody, I hope someone can help me with this. I have a 1989 740 Volvo that will not start. I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, the fuel regulator & injectors were cleand/checkd good. spark plugs, and wires are good. engine cranks good, but will not start. (sounds like its out of gas) The only way i can get this engine started is if i disconnect the connectors above the first two injectors. The engine starts right up, but kinda shacky. I then reconnect the injectors, and the engine runs, and sounds great. I can drive it with no problems. I can turn engine off & on with no problems. BUT if the car is off for about 20 minutes, it will not start. I then have to disconnect injectors again.
What is the problem???
I got the fuel injection codes@ (socket #2) 113
ignition codes @ ( socket #6) =none 111
I hope this helps diagnose my problem. Thank You

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
1-1-3 is either injectors or fuel pressure. Have you checked the pressure?
Bill.
