740 gas and temp guages, radio diplay, bulb failure light

'87 740 wagon gas guage only works intermittently. Same with radio display, although radio always plays. Temperature guage is mystery because the single wire from the sensor leads to choice of two plugs---one gives no guage reading, the other sends the guage needle past the red zone. ALSO, the bulb failure dash light comes on from time to time but there is no bulb out. Any insights on these issues?

By the way, I've been posting re: this car for a couple of months and thanks to the site, it is running like a champ! Now, just doing the little niceities--like guages!
