850 turbo sportwagon radio help

I own an 850 turbo sportwagon 1996 in which i have an "premium sound system SC-815" according to my manual when ever the battery power is disconnected a security code is needed to restart radio, here is my dilemma having bought the car used the code card is missing, how do i find out this code every thing works fine now I just want to be ready if i have to change the battery or do major work.

Great community here with lots to learn about our cars.

Call your local Volvo dealer for your code... Parts should be able to answer that but they may put you to the service department.

Truly a no brainer for them, that is if theyy are willing to help you for 5 minutes over the phone and not try to sell you any service or stereo.

All you need to give them is your VIN number and they will look it up. Worked for me. In case your dealers are not willing to assist, call the Volvostore in Winterpark, Florida as they are very helpful. (800) 824-9946

Of course you'll have to endure the remainder of the weekend to call the dealer.
