Anti seize compound on ETM's 4 bolts?

Post by gtco3dfever »

Actually I'm curious as to all bolts on this engine ( 2001 S60 NA). Looks like we're screwing metal bolts directly into aluminum. I've had major problems with removing steel axles from aluminum motorcycle wheels due to not putting anything on the axle.

I just did the xemodex install and had not thought about this.

Thanks.

A month later... NOOOooooo! How many technicians out there use adhesive on ETM gaskets,Turbo return gaskets etc. Just did a water pump on s-90 someone epoxied it to the block (leaking). Do you clowns know how hard it is to scrape it off of aluminum (razor blade) without damaging surface? Anti-sieze is good for suspension related items but personally would not use on electronics or upper engine. Huskers...We suck again!
