Anyone have experience with Volvo's "free tow for life" offer?

He also fixed most of the extra laundry list, final bill was a mere fraction of what dealerships want.
i would pay to have my car towed out of a dealership.

Its a catch because its not free in the end. You still have to paid the dealership for looking at your car. what is the going rate for a dealership to look at a car these days? So its Free tow for life for calling Volvo cars. then the fine print comes in to play. I think its a great idea on Volvo part for doing it.

Not all dealers are bad, and good on Volvo for offering this service. Helped a buddy of mine when his son's fuel pump went out on his 06 S60 2.5T AWD. They were quoted $2600!! from a local repair shop to replace the pump. Dealer (still pricy) did it for under $1600 using OE parts and lifetime warranty on the repair. (Canadian $$'s).

It’s not a program to get a free tow home so you can fix your car yourself. I’ve been impressed with the job Volvo has done servicing my neighbors cars , the work is done well and at competitive rates

Exactly, it's a smart marketing strategy to get ailing cars into the dealer shop instead of disappearing into the independent network. For most non-screwdriver-owning consumers, this is what they want.
