That is a serious o-ring and a clever fix.

Question - Is wiggling the subframe around changing the alignment? Or when you do them one at a time it doesn’t move?

With only one rear bolt loose, the subframe shouldn't move much.

Because of the alignment pin on the driver side (can see it in picture above), the subframe needs to lower quite a bit in that corner. You may need to disconnect the upper engine mount and unlock the steering shaft, so it could follow the steering rack.
