I got my SAS valve from FCP and that came in the same size box the gasket had been shipped in. That was still a little overkill, but better.

Looking at the new parts, I've been wondering about the hose connections, and I finally got a chance to look today after shoveling the driveway. It looks like my SAS system has had work before, as the hose is secured, on both ends, with black zip ties. I didn't really know the exact location of the blower till now either. It's very low, and up front, and without the splash guard likely gets a lot of water. The clips to install the splash guard were also in this FCP shipment.

I'm pretty sure the blower is the source of the pulsating electrical load I reported in another thread, awhile back.

Does the SAS blower have a fuse I could pull to disable it, until I can start working on the system? It might be awhile, as I don't have a handy dry/warm area to work.

You can just pull the plug on the motor for now.

That was my original thought, but I'm not seeing the connector and didn't want to climb under a drippy car to find it.

Grab the SAS fuse from the fusebox to stay dry. Manuals are online to guide you to the right fuse

There is no dedicated fuse for the air pump on a P80 car, consistent with the fact that SAS was installed/shipped/marketed/sold somewhat randomly even for same cars within the same markets. Part of why SAS delete is so popular.

Easiest is to unplug the pump itself or to unplug the SAS relay, e.g. some good pics and diagram here: viewtopic.php?t=94841

Take care to not unplug the fuel injection relay instead :)
