I took a 760T from 300km per liter to 2000km per liter oil, in a short amount of time, simply by using an oil for high mileage engines. The consumption was still declining when we sold the car. Leaky valve seals will only take a little oil.

so, verdict is in.... no leaks, pcv system is fine....car is just burning it up. so if it goes through 2.5 quarts per 1000 miles do i keep and just fill it with oil, or ditch it and find something else. Does anyone know I don't fix it but keep the car am I looking at even bigger problems down the road, exhaust ect.?

You might get some spark plug fouling and catalytic converter problems.coolfische wrote:so, verdict is in.... no leaks, pcv system is fine....car is just burning it up. so if it goes through 2.5 quarts per 1000 miles do i keep and just fill it with oil, or ditch it and find something else. In addition to the high mileage oil, you could add a can of STP. It sometimes helps.
Also you can try auto-rx, available at http://auto-rx.com
