next summer is the rebuild of the front suspension, arms, tie rods, etc.

For all those parts, blue box (genuine Volvo parts) is your best choice unless you enjoy replacing those every 6 months. Best price? Glad you asked, call DW Volvo tell Don you are a member here. With all the money you saved I'm sure "Donate Now" button will be busy.

thanks alot for the reference ill bookmark my thread so i have that saved.

oddly enough i learned today that no one aside from a dealer stocks old style 3357NA bulbs. they are all made with the plastic connector now my car still has the circular sockets on the front directional.

For some stupid reason the lamp manufacturers decided to re-number everything. You should be able to get the lamp at any auto parts store - look for number 42195.

That depends on the price as long as you get F.A.G. bearing hub (thats the OEM one) you'll be fine. I brought the "hub kit" (p/n 274378) from Volvo which came with all the new bolts and the axle nut so I didn't have to reuse those rusty ones.

considering i have about $80 in parts to return to FCP groton ill buy it from them. Volvo claims that they are supposed to last the entire service of the vehicle, after some more testing just now it is only the left side making any noise at all. do i just replace one for now?

How about your CV axles? I am narrowing in on that as my problem as I just finished replacing all my front suspension components. Worth getting them checked perhaps.

The most common CV / Axle problems manifest themselves as a low speed "clack" when you are turning the car in a tight turn. - as in out of the driveway.

^^^Mine does that when I turn really sharp; I just replaced both axles about a year ago because the boots were torn; just never really got around to looking at the CV joints. My old Saab just made a loud pop noise only once when you turned the wheel really hard, so I figured it was just something these Swede cars did. Guess I'll haveta take a look further into that. And probably the suspension all around on my car.

the right cv akle creaks a bit. but it may or may not be the strut expanding and contracting. what im more concerned about is the rear arms because whenever i back uip now after having the end-links replaced. it goes back 5ft and then makes a clunk. like two things are being pressed together and then release off each other.
