Yeah, I have the S70 arms installed in reverse now where the pass side arm is on the driver's side and vice versa. No interference with the hood.

You can see the damage done to the hood by the 850 arms. I'm going to have to touch up the paint.

Has anyone had the issue of their wiper arm touching the edge of the hood and wearing away the paint and metal? I have seen this on a few cars (including my old 850) and was curious as how to fix that.
this happened to my car and it damaged the hood where the arm touched the hood.simply the arm is not touching the windscreen enough.. I will find a used S70 and mount its wiper arms to my 850..the passenger side is always leaving streaks on the screen too.. sick of this problem..seems like Im not alone..

Great, easy fix. Just did it this weekend, can't wait to drive in the rain. Anybody have an opinion on bracketless wiper blades vs. regular blades? I just put one on the rear wiper, but haven't had any rain yet.

Also had to repair the lower side of the arm, the aluminum part, next to the shaft.. This part bends, try with a bench vise, and press in between to remove the curved formed by the deformation... This "curve"makes the rubber side of the arm to be lifted ... I didnt make the repair of the springs side... but take a look on the bended side before removing metal

And be sure the bolts are tight before trying anything more dramatic. They loosen over time.

Thanks for the fix on the wiper blade problem. You were right. 20 minutes and a little grinder work and I can see in the rain! Thanks again.

Great news! I have bought so many blades thinking I was getting a warped one.. Yea I know warped blade everytime, what are the chances? My drivers wiper only touches far enough that when raining I have to lean over towards the passenger side of the car. Not anymore! Thanks for the tip! :D

Do you drive an 850 with S70 arms or the other way around?

Just to clarify

I am having the issue and its an 850 (my car) with s70 arms (donor car) and it is hitting the hood.
