I have 2002 S80T6 with 98990 miles and have all the symptoms described in previous posts: brake failure, stop immediately, traction light on, etc I send my module out to eBay seller ate1234 or http://www.autoecu.com for $199 inluding s/h and fixed it successfully! This is a "newer" module with DTSC and there are many repair sites I looked at and even sent out to who do not want to repair my module. No more Christmas lights in my dashboard. I tested the traction control with passenger tire on slippery dirt and driver's side on asphalt and the traction control works! I am happy and saved bunch of money. You do need a torx socket wrench with I purchased a set on ebay for $10.

This site is great and I learned a lot about my Volvo. Thanks for everyone who has posted help on this site.

DO NOT use ASI (http://www.autoecu.com) in Tennessee for your repairs. I sent an ABS module to them 3 times (and I had to pay shipping). and they NEVER FIXED IT. No difference. Xemodex in Canada received it, repaired it, and shipped it out all ON THE SAME DAY. Yes they cost more but they did the job. I have called ASi dozens of times, sent them all the relevant info they asked for and still 8 months later they have NOT RETURNED ONE DIME. THEY ARE RIP-OFFS!
