I had that problem CEL on and off last year. I see you have a MY 2000 like mine. Did you have the software upgrade from Volvo for your ETM ?
Because I got it done six months ago and no more CEL. Believe me, if you didn't get that software, i'm pretty sure you bought a sensor for nothing.
