'04 XC90 Headlight Downgrade bi-Xenon to Halagen

I have the same issue and would love to see this get solved. I bought my car with a rebuilt title, it had been in a front end crash. When rebuilt, I assume they replaced the bi-xenon's with halogen because it was much cheaper so I've had the annoying warning light since I have owned the car. Someone please help us figure this out.

According to the following page, the xenon's are 48v. So how could we send the CANBUS 48v while running regular halogens?
