Mercedes Benz has had quality control issues for the last five years causing sales of Audi and Lexus to spike. Chrysler, Ford and GM have much better quality control than in the past, higher fuel consumption, and fire sale prices. Volvo may or may not be sold, causing a lot of uncertainty on the factory floor. These are changing times. If I was the president of Ford trying to guarantee the future of the company, LOOK, Volvo could be Ford's "White Knight". Just merge to Ford-Volvo. Their product line fills every void in Ford's passenger car line up. (Too many Volvo's are shipped here with turbos.) That 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 liter engine could save America a bundle in fuel costs. My 2.4 L produces 170 hp. The average Joe doesn't need more. ......Scott
