Thanks, misha!

Ok, I already have a fuel filter waiting to be installed when there is nicer weather... Also ordered a TCV and Bypass valve replacement from IPD. I hope I will get it to run as it should, this car deserves it.

Sadly the car was not always in capable hands before, some things got fixed (badly), and there seem to be some electrical problems in there as well. Still a lot to do, but first I want to get the power back to normal.
Maybe I will show it in the thread you mentioned, but that is still some time off ;)
But, a real beauty it will never be :|

Small update to my car's issues / progress...
Replaced the Ignition coil before winter, this helped some. Ignition is now completely replaced, and the engine sounds a lot more awesome ;)
Car was resting until now (and was at the shop getting the heater replaced, replacement used MAF (threw some codes), and 1,2 other things I didn't want to do).

Today I tried to replace the old TCV/BCV with the IPD version. I'm feeling stuipd, but I need your help:

According to the IPD manual the TCV was not connected correctly, see this picture (old setup):
Red: Wastegate
Yellow: Bypass Valve
Blue: Intake
(what I marked as white comes from the bottom of the turbo)

That is wrong? According to the IPD manual and description on the tcv it should be:
Red: Turbo housing
Yellow: Wastegate
Blue: Intake

What I don't get is why is it connected to the bypass valve? shouldn't the red line go somewhere else?
I tried it both ways and it didn't seem to make a difference...

This is my first turbo car, any help is much appreciated!

Well I fixed it.
New vacuum hoses and connected them correctly. Set the wastegate. Car now boosts to ~1bar which is 14-15psi. :)

Hey. Did a lot of other Stuff on the car, should now be at about stage 0.

I made a small video of how it drives; I think it is still missing a bit of power, at least from the specs it should do 0-100 in ~7.5 seconds with the Automatic or 7.8, not sure which is right. Mine taks about 8 seconds, which isn't bad, but also not perfect. What do you guys think?

At least It sounds badass ;)

Sounds great, agreed. Is it still boosting to 1 bar?

I think so, but only really in "overboost", and I only really get that in 3rd... so only at higher speeds. normally max seems to be around 0.8-0.9bar or so. I think boost is fine from what I read it should be. Also the gauge might not be totally accurate.

It does indeed sound great. Love the roundabouts! I find these engines sensitive to ambient temps, for power developed

That's normal.

Boost is a good measure of health. Not long term health, but health right at the moment.

Given it's making a full bar, I believe she's giving all she has. Remember the car magazines beat on the cars they test to get their best times. Things we'd never do... dropping the clutch at 5k RPM off the line, etc.
