Agreed! Those old bushings are just insane to remove, and I'll bet that all 850's need to have them replaced

Marking for rear wheel alignment
This step is needed for installation, and then safely driving to your favorite alignment shop for final and accurate all wheel alignment. I pay $74, see the report above.

All nuts, bolts and screws were PB Blasted overnight.
After I had the car on 4 jack-stands, rear wheels off.
Break just the outer nut loose. It is extremely tight, screams loud. It takes 13/16" socket on 1/2" breaker bar. Once loose it will unscrew with ease.

Pull out the screw, and thoroughly brush the area clean. Your toothbrush experience will help here, Lol.
Take a closer look as to where the two holes (mount, and the mount-location on transverse arm) are aligned, and where you will place the markers.
In my case, the corresponding holes were not centered. I noticed an arc, which suggested the mount was pulled forward. I made two marks with 1/4" chisel at the inner end of the arc.

Highlight the marker with paint before transferring it on to a new replacement mount.

Now proceed with removing every nut that must be removed for this project.

Pic using the delta link tool to install the delta link bushing. Works like a charm. Used a bit of vaseline on the end of mine, got it started by hand and used the impact to slowly run it in. Will run it past where the holes line up for the bolt. Use a drift/punch to line it up again.

Rent the tool.... spend the few extra bucks to do so. Can not say that enough.

All four are Volvo from a local craigslister more than a year ago for $100 cash .
I use OE for little more to avoid fitting circus. Truly a great ride after replacement.
1997 MY is between 96 850 and 98 S70.
