I am wondering if this is still an ongoing issue or have you found a solution? I'm experiencing the same thing with my '04 V70 2.5t. New axles didn't take care of the issue for me either. Recent motor mounts. The control arms and bushings were given the green light by my independent Volvo mechanics. Next step is to replace the transmission mounts I guess.....

Have you tried swapping tires around and/or varying the tire pressure to see what the effect is?
