I purchased my wagon when it was two years old and switched it to full synthetic. It took about two years for the synthetic to clean up some brown deposits inside the engine, so it doesn't happen overnight. The S70 has always been on synthetic since initial break-in.

You should have been running synthetic anyway but now at your miles check for any leaks in a few hundred miles.
If it has no leaks, continue to run it.

Mod note. Jim passed away in early 2022, his contributions to this forum are immortal, and he is missed. RIP

I'm going to stick my neck out (again)
The theory that sludge can form a leak barrier which is more effective than a seal itself is just poppycock and I don't buy it. Fresh oil is still touching seals where an engine has sludge because that part is spinning/moving and opening galleyways for the oil to flow there.
Unless the seal is fully encapsulated in sludge I really do not see how a leak can be prevented. If that were the case parts would be grinding down into little metal pieces......though I have heard of sludge causing this in extreme cases.
If the car starts leaking after a change to synthetic it would have started leaking in any case. When a car has 140K miles plus things just go wrong.........
I'd better get my umbrella out now because I think its going to start raining insults

Mike makes a lot of good points. Also, he used "poppycock" in a sentence, and is therefore the winner anyway.
+1 to what Mike said.

It is indeed an internet rule that the first to use ' poppycock' closes the thread.
Oil change threads on uncivilized boards are as bad as politics and religion.
I moved my fleet of 5 cars from Dino to full synthetic over the last couple years. No leaks, itches, or scratches.

You accidentally did your car a favor. Stay with the full synthetic.
