Because they don't want you messing with it while it is under warranty. If they were so confident that the fluid is good forever, why don't they put a lifetime warranty on the trans?

When it's under warranty you CAN'T mess with anything on the car or you loose warranty. :wink:

There is no filter to change! Just drain and fill. The drain plug is magnetic there will be a thin layer of metal sludge on it; wipe it off.
