Because they don't want you messing with it while it is under warranty. If they were so confident that the fluid is good forever, why don't they put a lifetime warranty on the trans?

When it's under warranty you CAN'T mess with anything on the car or you loose warranty.

There is no filter to change! Just drain and fill. The drain plug is magnetic there will be a thin layer of metal sludge on it; wipe it off.
