I've had good luck with that stuff also. It helped with my oil leaks and apparently did no harm.

I based my dosage on what I found from an ATP video: 1.5oz/quart of fluid. This was the suggested dose for an AT. Could be different for PS. If so, I'm interested in hearing your information
I saw it on their video

I thought about doing that. I wouldn't use a full bottle, I would reduce the dose.
I put my head right up to my exhaust and had someone start the car, zero sign of any blue smoke; this stuff is fantastic.

Here is a ringing endorsement I found:

Regarding seals, our cars do not use Teflon seals:

From:
http://www.enginebuildermag.com/1998/07 ... d-designs/

"Identifying seal material
How can you tell one typeof seal material from another? Color is not necessarily an accurateguide because the same material may come in several differentcolors. Nitrile seals may be black, green or blue. Polyacrylateis usually black, while Viton may be brown, orange or black. Nylonhas a translucent appearance while Teflon is white. Silicone isusually black."

sleddriver wrote:Just did a PS flush & fill & reboot. Added 1.5oz to the Valvoline Maxlife ATF syn. I refilled the system with. Hoping it will stop the rack from leaking. Read really good things about AT-205 + I was able to find it locally.
So far, the PS fluid level hasn't dropped, the pump no longer whines when cold and the shuddering has stopped now that the air has had time to come out. I added another oz. (30mL) to bring the total to 2.5oz (75mL).

My leaky rack made quite a mess for a long time under the car & on the garage floor. I poured lots of PS fluid + ATF through it to keep it topped up. More time will be needed to see of the level stays constant. Of course, it's more difficult now to see if it's STILL leaking after I installed new rack boots on both sides.

So far, so good! I'm very pleased with ATP AT-205 so far.

I just received my bottle today. For a car nearing 200k miles without any noticeable blue puffs, how much would one recommend pouring into the oil?

It has some pretty amazing reviews around the web...I have a friend with a leaking rack on her '03 C70...I think I'll recommend this to her. My rack on my S70 was leaking a little a couple of years ago and I used Lucas and that has worked and held but mine was fairly minor.

Well, I may have spoke too soon. I applied some ATP-205 last night, drove my hour long drive home without issue. This morning in traffic, noticed a bog, pulled a misfire in cylinder 4.. Really hoping it's a random coincidence, but won't know till I can pull compression readings

I have a 94 jeep cherokee that I bought for the winter. Of course it leaks oil but has low miles at 177k. Not worth replacing any seals as the body is rotted to the point where it may have 2 years left.

So.. I dumped a bottle of this in today with a fresh oil change and I'll see what happens.

I used it on my 10v that had bad valve guide seals- it worked for about 9 months till it started using oil again and puffing at startup- this was about 17000km and the car had over 400000 on it to start- engine had never been apart
