Alldata maps P1551 to ECM510F, speed sensor signal

If you are using the code reader description of the code, they Are often wrong in my experience

The good news is you now have lots of spare baro sensors !

By the way, the light coming on at 25 kph is the ABS self test. At this speed the ABS burps and tests itself after each start. If the ABS has a problem, that's when the light comes on.

For a 97 850, which wire is responsible for sending the self test signal?

Thats a mattymoo question. Asking me is like asking Forest Gump to explain KAM theory.

I think the self test is triggered internally when the ABS unit detects fast enough wheel spin to enable reliable speed detection but thats an uneducated guess.

There isnt one. It's the module itself is initiating the self-diagnostic, the module is really just a computer.

This makes complete sense to me seeing as any scanner program will pull ABS codes through the ABS module, not the ECU. The ABS module does not usually trigger the CEL, from my experience.

1996-1998, the abs system won't trigger the CEL, 99 and up it will.

I suspected my old Autel was unable to read these codes properly which is why i ordered a newer Md802 to read the codes just waiting for it to arrive. So it's possible then my check engine is being caused entirely by the ABS controller problems? Kinda good news.

Your whole problem could be a wheel sensor or wire which is failing the ABS test

That's definitely possible. Can't you test those with a multimeter?
