Making one is not an easy fab job at all. Look at the pictures of how the crossbar is notched, as well as the spacers being notched. Can it be done? Sure. For the time it would take ME, though... I just bit the bullet and bought one from eBay for $100.

How are you going to secure the slots in the rear of the camshafts? Your hub bolts are torqued with about 90 ft-lbs, and it is critical that you have those shafts locked down as you R&R the hubs on the front. OR... does that picture show two pieces of flat bar bolted under the angle which protrude into the camshaft slots?

There are two pieces of flat stock under the Channel that slip into the cams.

What are the part numbers for the seals?

I don't have part numbers, but if you go to Tascaparts.com, you can enter your vehicle details and find the part numbers easily enough.

I just found a full kit from Dayco. or should I use SKF instead?

Personally, I would use SKF over Dayco, but that is from an overall generic range of experience with seals, and is not specific to the Volvo world.
