Inner Tie Rods going bad...again

The rack is either made by SMI or TRW. The tie rods are the same manufacturer (note SMI racks take a different tie rod). The great majority of them are TRW, check the rubber dust boots if they are original they will say TRW on them viewtopic.php?t=52801.
I really don't know why the TRW part is failing on you, I wonder if you somehow got counterfeits. It is basically bombproof for everyone else ...

At this point I'm going to wait for a nice day (no garage available, I'm afraid) and give them a look myself. I agree that they shouldn't have gone bad so soon. I'm not getting the play and vibration in the steering wheel that I got with the last set that went bad (and they were definitely bad, Meyle's). Perhaps the outer tie rods are going bad...
