Matthew's Volvo Site has helped fix many problems with my fleet of P2 Volvos! This topic inspired a slightly different solution. Attached are a couple pictures of the fix that I used for attaching replacement hooks to the end of the lumbar cables. Both cable ends were broken on my 2007 S60. The goal was to keep the new hook in almost the exact same location at the zinc cast hook so the cable tension knob would still provide adequate lumbar support. I used the same U clamp as in the prior solutions but added an eyebolt that was bent open just enough to hook around the seat frame. I added two nuts that were locked onto each other as a stop to keep the U clamp from sliding off in event of a rear impact collision. The hardware was picked up at Lowes for a few dollars.
