Those arent rod bearing sounds either - those get loud when you transition from coast to load - that is, when you accelerate or decelerate the engine.

Was that running on LP or Petrol at the point the video was taken?

Doesn't sound like the valves are hitting the pistons - if you ever hear it once, you'll never forget it. Still sounds like a lifter or two hasn't pumped up yet. What assembly lube did he use for them? I've always used moly or gear oil. Regular oil in a jam...

Were each of the lifters put back into their original location? What valve work was performed - new seals, guides, seats, valves, grinding, springs and keeps? Or did he just get the block trued/planed and reassemble with a new head gasket, new head bolts?

What constituted fine/okay oil pressure? What was the condition of your oil prior to having this work done? Was it changed at the same time the head gasket replacement was performed?

Drive it, change the oil with proper synthetic somewhere along the line soon, rinse and repeat with oil change, don't intervene other than to CONSIDER doing a compression test, oil pressure for 0 rings on sump as already suggested if you are bothered. Oil change frequency after this rebuild remains controversial, but it's easy and you will feel like you did something. If still clattering several weeks from now lifters might have been installed differently from when removed. Has all this been suggested already, sounds like it.

@shaker_chi Fuel rail is not modified. There are custom LPG injectiors mounted under fuel rail into air intake.

@precopster all of them were treated with oil before montage. I was wondering if they cleaned up oil lines (tubes) inside head after cnc surface planing. btw. those oring were replaced, and oil pressure is great (thats what he said).

@mecheng yeah, I agree. (those guys are Volvo owners I guess) But should I consider that head gasket colides with piston? Could it be that tight around it?

So is it possible that lifters needs 5days to fill up? Could it be camshaft?
I also forgot to say that rod bearings were changed as well - all of them. Maybe sound comes from here?
I had that noise from believe it or not a poor quality oil filter. During my oil change I allowed 0.25 liter of new oil to drain through the engine to clean the dirty oil and now I use a Mahle oil filter and never heard the noise again.

My 850 took about 2 weeks of driving and I mean daily driving of about 4 hours per day to silence all the lifters after a head gasket job. Mind you that was with half the valves on a 10 valve engine.

What kind of synthetic oil do you recommend?

I've cleaned it with 1 liter of fresh oil then I toped it up with full synthetic Castrol Oil. Unfortunately, after 500 km nothing has changed. It's now third week since the problem occurs - but beside this awkward sound car is going well, I mean it has power, it rides smooth, it starts great. Nothing overheats and this tappign sound remain at the same gain.

Have you had the oil pan 'O' rings replaced at all? They go hard and reduce significantly the oil pressure to the cylinder head. With new lifters it could be you are not getting enough oil pressure to pressurise the lifters.

I finaly have a list from workshop. According to this list, those orings have never been changed. It also clarifies what was done with my engine during rebuild. So:
- full head rebuild
- new bolts
- sealings for intake and outtake
- all 20 hydraulic lifters
- all 5 rod bearings
- head gasket
- oil filter
- 1 piston ring set

I also saw there is a oil leak on the right side of the oil pan (next to right wheel) I was wondering if oil lines could be cloged up which results in preassure build on those orings (are those located near right wheel?).
