I purchased a 12 piece (12 O-rings including a tapered tool for installing the O-rings) injector o-ring set fitting 1990's Ford Ranger 3.0L V6. The 12 piece set was about $3 cheaper than an 8 piece set. Replacing the o-rings is fairly easy taking perhaps 20-30 minutes.

Others have noted that the leaking around the injector o-ring is often a sign that the injector has failed-- you might want to have one on hand when you take apart the fuel rail. The over-fueling of that cylinder might be the cause of your check engine light, but read the codes on the OBDI.

The 700/900FAQ at brickboard.com is a tremendous resource for these cars.

Sadly, I didn't get all of the parts as are in the picture above. I've only gotten the brown rings. Thank you everyone. I'll invest in all the right parts before I continue to move forward with the repairs. Otherwise, it'd be several trips of wasted time to and from the auto parts store.

I’ve had all the injectors, spark plugs, wires, lines, everything I could think of, replaced. After all the replacement parts were put in, no fuel leak and no smell until 2 weeks later. It came back. I need help.
